Our Ph.D. students are required to take at least 6 courses (each of at least 16h + exam) and to attend at least 3 series of seminars during their Ph.D. studies.
In addition to taking courses organized by our Ph.D. School, our students can take courses organised by other Ph.D. schools. In particular, our School has an agreement of “mutual opening” of the courses with the following schools:
- National Ph.D. School in Artificial Intelligence for Society
- Ph.D. School in Information Engineering
- Ph.D. School in Smart Computing
- Ph.D. School in Mathematics
- Ph.D. School in Physics
Our students can also attend courses of International Ph.D. Schools (please see below), to deepen their knowledge in specialised areas, and take (at most one of the) courses offered by the Master Degree in CS, if they need to strengthen their CS background.
Please note that the list of courses and seminar series chosen by the PhD student must be approved (beforehand) by the Ph.D. Committee, they have to satisfy the requirements stated above and they have to cover different areas in order to broaden the knowledge of our students.
